Girl, Interrupted (1999)
Lisa: You know, there's too many buttons in the world. There's too many buttons and they're just- There's way too many just begging to be pressed, they're just begging to be pressed, you know? They're just - they're just begging to be pressed. And it makes me wonder, it really makes me fucking wonder, why doesn't anyone ever press mine? Why am I so neglected? Why doesn't anyone reach in and rip out the truth and tell me that I'm a fucking whore, or that my parents wish I were dead?
Susanna: Because you're dead already, Lisa! No one cares if you die, Lisa because you're dead already. Your heart is cold. That's why you keep coming back here. You're not free. You need this place, you need it to feel alive. It's pathetic.
Susanna: I've wasted a year of my life. Maybe everyone out there is a liar. And maybe the whole world is "stupid" and "ignorant" but I'd rather be in it. I'd rather be fucking in it than down here with you.

1: So my boss said she wanted me to stay so she can hire more Hispanics and I could translate.
2: Why would she do that?
1: So she can pay them under the table.
2: That's not right.
1: Well, I mean, it's not right, but it's cheaper if she does it that way.
Me: Plus, she's offering jobs to people that can't get them because of their status.
2: Well, if they can't get a job then why the hell did they come over here? They should just go back.
2, you and your ignorance can go suck it. I've had it with you.

kaylawebb asked: Hey, you remember the time I made The Outsiders about ice cream when we had it on fast-forward/mute?
We were so crazy when we were in high school.
Oh wait that was last week.

Kayla: Santa comes to nonbelievers!
Me: Yeah but Benjamin Button came to you and he's still not Santa.
Kayla: Well, now I'm just confused.

Today's goal:
Clean out my music library.
There is so much crap that I don’t listen to, that I don’t like or that I have never even heard of in my music library. Why? Because people ask me to make them CDs, or they download things on my computer and it just stays there. My Zune is running out of memory, and I won’t be able to afford the HD touch Zune until this summer, so I have to make...

I feel like “liking” something on Tumblr is a lot more casual than “liking” something on Facebook.
Does anyone else see where I’m coming from, or am I just completely insane?

Day 02 — Your favourite movie (part 3):
Theo: Clapton's God, Matthew.
Matthew: I don't believe in God. But if I did, he would be a black left-handed guitarist.
Matthew: This is not Chaplin and Keaton. This is Clapton and Hendrix.
Theo: Matthew, Clapton reinvented the electric guitar.
Matthew: Clapton plugs in a guitar, he plugs in an electric guitar and he plays it like an acoustic guitar. Hendrix plugs in an electric guitar, he plays it with his teeth. There are soldiers in the Vietnam War right now. Who are they listening to? Clapton? No, they're listening to Hendrix. The guy who tells the truth.
Theo: You're talking about soldiers in Vietnam?
Matthew: Yes!
Theo: What are they doing in Vietnam?

Day 02 — Your favourite movie (part 1)
I’m gonna do today’s thing in 4 parts. First, the explanation.
A couple years ago I was watching IFC, the independent film channel. This movie came on and I fell in love with it. The Dreamers (2003)
The movie takes place in 1968 France, where an American exchange student, and film lover, Matthew, meets a native girl, Isabelle, and goes to live...

Dear Sty,
Your visit was not welcomed. Thanks for leaving earlier than I had anticipated. I hope you never come back, but if you do, I hope it’s not for a long time, and for a visit just as short as this one.
Don’t keep in touch,
Veronica PS, I have got to stop writing letters to inanimate objects via Tumblr.

Dear Tumblr,
You are clearing having some technical difficulties lately. The number of people I follow keeps changing, even though I have yet to follow/unfollow anyone. You tell me I follow one person one minute, and tell me I never followed them the next. Worst of all, someone I made a point to unfollow weeks ago somehow showed up on my dashboard today.
What’s up with that, Tumblr? What are you doing...
