Murder In The City - The Avett Brothers
This song has made me very emotional. The first time I heard it, I remember putting it on repeat, then crying. I think it’s because of the family values expressed in this song, and the fact that I was going through some rough family stuff when I first heard it. Either way, now when I listen to it, it’s a song that always gets my undivided attention. And every once in a while, I’ll shed a tear. It also contains one of my most favorite lines ever written by The Avett Brothers.
Always remember there was nothing worth sharing like the love that let us share our name.
