My 2 cents on the zombie apocalypse.
I’ve seen a lot of people on Facebook suddenly mentioning zombies and the apocalypse. As someone who’s been interested and planning for the zombie apocalypse for a while (lolz legit), I didn’t pay much attention to the mediocre talk. I mean, seriously, if zombies were starting to take over, we’d know.
So then today, I finally realized that this sudden craze is over the cannibal in Miami that tried to eat a homeless man’s face off. Usually I laugh off the stupidity that people post on Facebook, but this seriously got me worried for the human race.
A cannibal is a human being that eats human flesh. They are living people, in our society they are typically marked with a mental deficiency (I mean, come on, theycravehuman flesh), but they are living, breathing people. They still have a brain, they can still think about other things, worry about other problems, and lead a life. They just happen to enjoy feasting upon other human beings.
A zombie, on the other hand, is the “living” dead. It is a human body, infected (either by bite, or through other forms, depending on what theories you look at) but essentially, they have no thoughts or mental processes. They don’t care about bathing, going to work the next morning, being in relationships, whatever. They just know to bite. Further infect. Eat. Attack.
It’s a dangerous mistake to make. A cannibal, how ever mentally impaired you want to make them out to be, is still human. You can’t reason with a zombie, give it help, or nurse an injury caused by one.
Get informed, people.
