I hate to spam you guys with pictures of my face tonight, but come on. That’s an authentic Charlotte Hornets mug thing. No one did it like the Charlotte Hornets, kaythanks.
Took this today while leaving uptown Charlotte. That skyline always makes me happy.
Picture taken at a church I used to go to in Charlotte.
I know a lot of people that say they love the city. I know a lot of people that say they love the city of Charlotte. They say they think it’s pretty, or that it’s a cool place to go hang out.
I’m not one of these people.
To me, there is nothing better than the city, and Charlotte is my home. I not only love it, I’m in love with it. To me, it would be paradise to walk out of my little apartment in the city and walk to work, to meet some friends over coffee at the nifty coffee shop on 3rd street, catch a performance at the theater, maybe walk around the library or visit a museum. Then, go out for dinner sitting outside, people watching, right before walking back to my little apartment, locking my door behind me, opening the window and looking out to see tall buildings and city lights.
Charlotte isn’t the biggest city ever. It’s no New York. But it’s my home, and I can’t wait to live there again.
Dearest Charlotte, I shall see you tonight :)
This is home.
