- Me: I dreamed I found a house for free... Only it belonged to a racist. It was in one of those "find a house" magazines. And there was no picture. It just said "Free!" and at the bottom it said "For sale by racist".
- Stefan: Lol. I coulda got it and gave it to you.
- Me: Aww Thank you Stefan!
- Stefan: YUP
- Me: I also dreamed we were at war with Lord Voldmort...
- Stefan: ..... I'm starting to question you.
- Me: It's completely logical to look for a house while the most powerful dark wizard is out to kill... everyone.
I have been having the strangest dreams lately. What’s more weird is that I’ve been remembering them all for the past week. When I look up what they mean, everything points to stress, self doubt, insecurity and a lot more negativity. However, every dream has one good sign, one things that Dreammoods says means prosperity, moving on, and succeeding. Last night, for example, I saw a bat and a rat.
To see a bat in your dream, symbolizes uncleanness, demons, and annoyances. Alternatively, bats represent rebirth and unrealized potential. You need to let go of old habits. Your current path is not compatible with your new growth and new goals. It may also indicate some unknown situation and how you are blindly entering into a situation or deal. You need to evaluate the facts more carefully. The dream may also been a pun on feeling “batty” or feeling crazy
To see a rat in your dream, signifies feelings of doubts, greed, guilt, unworthiness and envy. You are keeping something to yourself that is eating you up inside. Or you have done something that you are not proud of. Alternatively, a rat denotes repulsion, decay, dirtiness, and even death. The dream may also be a pun on someone who is a rat. Are you feeling betrayed?
Then somehow, the black rat turned into a white dog, which supposedly means “intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success”.
Maybe I’m just reading too much into these dreams.
A long time ago I had this dream that my dad and I went to London decided to stop by Battersea Power Station. As Pink Floyd fans, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. We decided that we should break in and climb up the tall cylinders Algie the Pig floats around on the cover of Animals, which is impossible to do in real life. The cylinders had spiraling stairs, so we started climbing as fast as we could, but we got stopped by a security guard. He said to us “What, you think you’re the only ones who thought to do this? I’ll tell you this, you’re the only ones that thought you could do it in broad daylight and get away with it. Hurry up, climb up there, snap your shots of Algie and leave.” So we kept climbing, and I wake up just as we get to the top.
I have this dream every once in a while, only sometimes it’s just me.
